Hotels in Greece with a stunning view

Hotels in Greece with a stunning view

Are you going on holiday to Greece? Obviously you want a hotel with an amazing view from your window or balcony, whether it be of the sea and the beach or the mountain. Here are some hotels in Greece with a stunning view to choose from:

Going to Santorini? Check out my blog on budget friendly hotels in Santorini as well.

Coco-Mat Athens BC is my favorite hotel in Athens. It has a fantastic infinity-like rooftop pool with Akropolis view. Coco-Mat originally is a brand that sells beds, so be prepared to sleep in the best beds of the world (I have one at home as well). There’s also a free spa and contemplary bike rent and an amazing breakfast. And for 5* hotel it is relatively cheap with prices starting at € 150,- per night.

Santorini | Grace Hotel

Santorini is all about the view. There are tons of places with gorgeous views there. But the Grace Hotel  stood out to me. Because it ticks all the boxes: gorgeous infinity pool, very quiet location so no one disturbing you and not lots of accommodations around, view of the amazing Skaros rock, the sunset and the caldera and white houses both left and right of you. It’s not a cheap hotel but definitely one for the bucket list.

The area of Palaiokastritsa and Liapades are often visited by tourist because they want to see the stunning turquoise waters. The Akrotiri Beach Resort Hotel definitely is the hotel with the best view of one of these bays. Below is one of the beach (not the cheapest) beach bars of Corfu, Akron beach bar. Including a pool and fantastic restaurant.

The newly renovated Zeus Throne Suites resemble the much-loved accommodations on islands such as Santorini and Mykonos. Not many accommodations like this with private pool and amazing view exist yet in Corfu. The view over Agios Georgios North, a beach with golden sand, is beautiful. Amongst the best views of Corfu. Also, the village of Afionas is the cutest of the island. And it the starting point of the hike to the famous Porto Timoni beach (see picture). Take into account however that this is not a centrally located area and hotel. It is suitable for those who want lots of private time and want to visit some highlights of North Corfu.

If you by any chance have decided on going to Corfu, please also check out my complete 88-page travel guide on Corfu.

Milos is famous for its picturesque fishing settlements, with the old sailors’ boathouses. Some of them have been turned into Airbnb’s, meaning you can stay right at the waterfront and wake up to the view that other tourists drive around the island for. The Cove Beach House is located in one of the fishing settlements little people know about and therefore it feels like your private beach during your whole stay.

Limeni Peloponnese | Limeni Village

In the South of the Peloponnese lies the authentic peninsula called Mani. Limeni is one of its villages, with traditional ‘tower houses’ turned into hotels overlooking the stunning bay with the bluest ever waters. Hotel Limeni Village overlooks the bay on the right side, and has an incredible sunset view on the left. In 5 minutes you are in the center of the village, but you can also eat in the restaurant of the hotel. They serve delicious breakfast but also dinner and snacks. When I stayed here, I kept extending because I just couldn’t leave.

When I was looking for accommodation in Lefkada, a friend pointed me towards Fantastico Studios & Fantastico Studios 2. Need I say more? What a view from the shared pool, both during the day and at sunset. Very good value for money, even in full high season we paid € 80 per night for a well-equipped studio. The studios are located in an authentic village with several restaurants and mini markets. And close to all the incredible beaches on the West Side of the island. Three of them are directly beneath the village, it’s a 15-minute drive down on a windy road. To me this was way better than staying in Lefkada town, which I think lacks atmosphere compared to Corfu town.

Astypaleia, the ‘butterfly island’, resembles Santorini because its capital with whitewashed houses and streets is located on (the edge) of a hill. The Kallichoron Art Boutique hotel has the best and most stunning view of Astypaleia’s capital. Definitely a dream to wake up and drink your coffee here. I know this amazing hotel thanks to my colleague-blogger Grieksblauw, who visited it on one of his travels to Greece. You can read more about it on his website.
